This is the bubble tea edition.
Went to a bubble tea place at Town Hall. Ordered winter melon tea, half sugar. Got sealed cup of ice water with a squirt of honey. Double checked with the staff, saying that winter melon tea should be somewhat ... Tea colored. Staff mansplained that there is only honey and water in there, that winter melon is just the name. Wouldn't budge on that explanation. We were running late for choir and had to just grab and dash. On my way out, I heard another customer double check HIS order because the staff messed it up too. 🤦🏻♀️
So after that fiasco, we went to a different bubble tea shop. The staff members had English difficulties and we are always pressed for time to get M to choir. After two tries There and nearly running late each time because it took so long to order, we went to yet another bubble tea shop in the area.
Went there once had no issues. Thought, alright.. we've found a regular place to go to, yay! So today is the 3rd time we've been. I frantically download the app and sign Up to accumulate loyalty points because we were probably going to come here fairly often. So I get there, order, and flash My phone screen with the app and card loaded so they can scan. The staff member glanced at my phone and then said she'd give me a 10% discount and ignored the app. I asked her twice that I'd like to my get points, could she scan my app? Each time, she got more annoyed and said I have you a 10% discount. So I'm like, omg.. wrf, this is taking too long and paid for our drinks. As we're waiting for the transaction to go through, I try again. Soooo... is your scanner not working or something? I really wanted to use my card. She replied with "I already GAVE you a discount *eye roll implied in the tone*" MY turn to do an internal eye roll. Thanks for the discount but I JUST WANT MY POINTS!! Is that too much to ask for??
What is it with people stating very obviously wrong things but insisting it's right.. or simply ignoring things?!
